This design joined two existing rooms into one open plan kitchen dining space. The existing windows were joined together and cut down to create a new patio door, bringing the outside in.
Projects like this might seem simple but they can transform a home, creating a new centre for family life and adding a direct connection to the rear garden ensures more time can be spent outside.
The wall between the two rooms was load bearing and a steel beam was installed to open this fully. The new patio door opening also required significant structural work to create. This type of work is complex and requires careful planning and skilled execution.
