One Storey Side Extension Fees

The prices quoted above are subject to the following conditions:

• The building is located in Edinburgh, the Lothians or Fife.
• The building is not listed or located in a conservation area.
• Any additional or unforeseen work which the client wishes Capital A Architecture Ltd. to carry out will be charged a pre-agreed hourly rate.
• Any additional or unforeseen drawings requested by the client will be charged at a pre-agreed printing rate.
• The times and prices quoted above are for guidance only, all prices must be finalised and agreed between the client and Capital A.
• VAT does not apply to the fees charged by Capital A Architecture Ltd.
• The application fees for any statutory consents (eg. Planning Application) are payable by the clients.
• The professional fees charged by other consultants (eg. Structural Engineers) are payable by the client.
• Any travel to site is charged a 40p per mile.
• The cost of any Ordinance Survey Maps will be paid for by the client.

Survey of Existing Building.     4 - 6 Hours

Feasibility Study.                        3 - 6 Hours per option

Planning Applciation.             4 - 8 Hours

Building Warrant.                      8 - 12 Hours

Tender Proccess.                        6 - 10 Hours   

Construction Contract          4 - 6 Hours per week (8 Week Estimated Build For This Project)

A typical project like this may require a construction budget of £35,000. Capital A would charge all Architectural services at an hourly rate.

An estimate of the amount of time required for each stage in the project is set out below. Remember, you may not require all the services described here and you are free to select which services suit your project, allowing you to control the cost of our fees.
