New-Build House, Kingsbarns

This house on the St. Andrews Road, Kingsbarns, East Fife, shows that is is possible to make a sensitive response to local Architectural traditions, while benefiting from a contemporary interior. The house is set between two existing properties, with a secluded rear garden, mature planting and view over the Sea from the upper floor.

While the house is conventional on the outside, the inner spaces are very dynamic. The entrance lobby will have a two storey, double spiral stairs. The rear facing kitchen, dining and living rooms will open out to the garden through a panoramic glazed screen. The master bedroom will have a full height ceiling, to the underside of the roof.
