Modernizing an Existing Extension
This project involved modernizing an existing 1960's extension to the rear of a terraced house in Edinburgh. The existing extension was two stories tall, with a garage and a living room above. The extension had a slate pitched roof, which limited headroom in the upper floor. The garage had a very low ceiling and was only used for storage.
The new extension will raise the ceiling and turn the garage into a garden room with split level kitchen / dining room above. The building is clad using Trespa. The video shows an early feasibility study of the project, where the option of using timber cladding was explored
The project took 15 weeks to build and was completed in May 2011.
