This extension to a open-plan 1970's house in Fife was begun by a local Architectural designer. Due to a change in circumstance, he was unable to see the project through to completion and once Planning Permission was granted,  Capital A was asked to prepare the Building Warrant. Thought a modest size extension, the client wants plenty of natural light and a feeling of space from the completed structure. The original house has a tall, open plan, split level ground floor and that theme is continued in the new extension. Capital A worked with a structural engineer and an energy consultant to ensure the design of the new extension met the clients expectations.

A Building Warrant for the extension was lodged in late March 2009 and was granted in early April 2009.
