This is a feasibility study for a house extension in the Corstorphine Hill area
of Edinburgh. The house had a garage on the gable side, this was to be converted
into habitable accommodation. A new, light and contemporary extension to the south
would function as a garden / dining room.
The overhang unifies the elevation visually, while also giving an extra room outside.
The overhang extends the full width of the plot, forming a portico from over the
footpath, dividing the front from the rear of the house.
